Your Comfort is Important

From our business staff to the doctor, every team member in our practice is dedicated to making your comfort their priority. We’ll address any apprehension you may be experiencing concerning your dental treatment, as well as take every measure possible to ensure a comfortable experience.

You are in control. We want you to let us know how you’re feeling. If you want to stop treatment at any time, simply raise your hand. If you need to take a short break, we’ll even leave the room if you prefer. And we’ll do so as often as you like.

Serene Surroundings. The large, north-facing windows have great views of a serene pond that let your mind wander to nature outdoors. The trees outside the windows are frequented by squirrels and birds that can be quite entertaining. Televisions in the ceilings can provide your favorite channel or bring in a DVD movie to enjoy Headphones and a CD player allow for your own music preference. The calm atmosphere of our office enhances your time here.

Comfortable Injections. Prior to numbing, a flavored gel anesthetic is gently swabbed on with a Q-tip. For those seeking absolute assurance of 100% comfortable injection, Dr. Overton uses “The Wand,” a computer controlled anesthetic. The result is truly comfortable.

Nitrous Oxide and Premedication. For those who need a little extra help relaxing, Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is available, as well as pre-medication with anti-anxiety medications. We go beyond understanding – and can empathize with your emotional reaction to dentistry – together we can accomplish anything!

Infection Control. Safety is our first concern at Overton Center for Dental Arts; we take no risks with your health. In addition to cleaning and sterilizing all instruments routinely as recommended by the American Dental Association and the Centers for Disease Control. In addition, we are linked to an outside service that monitors the effectiveness of our sterilization process. Finally, all clinical staff members wear masks, gloves and glasses. We strictly observe all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.

X-Radiation. We are now using digital technology and our x-ray equipment is serviced regularly and calibrated to obtain the best quality image with the lowest radiation dose possible. For your protection, all patients are covered with a lead body shield.
