Prior to numbing, a flavored anesthetic gel is gently swabbed on the area. For those seeking absolute assurance of 100% comfortable injection, Dr. Overton uses The Wand, a computer-controlled anesthetic device that gradually inserts the anesthetic, eliminating that sometimes painful pressure of injections. The result is truly comfortable.
Nitrous Oxide and Premedication For those who need a little extra help relaxing, nitrous oxide (also known as laughing gas) is available as well as premedication with anti-anxiety medicines.
Neuromuscular Dentistry
Neuromuscular dentistry is the art and science of using the relaxed position of the muscles of the head and neck to place the jaw into an optimal physiologic position.
Thirty years of research and clinical experience have shown this technique to be effective in treating patients with various levels of head and neck pain.
